Specifications include, but are not limited to: The program seeks to increase the availability of behavioral health service professionals by incentivizing internship opportunities in Community Mental Health agencies, Pre-Paid Inpatient Health Plans (PIHP), Indian Health Service/Tribally Operated Facility or Program/Urban Indian Clinic or Public Schools throughout the entire State of Michigan. The goal of this program is to connect prospective interns to behavioral health programs and organizations in order to increase the number of behavioral health professionals within the public behavioral health system throughout Michigan. MDHHS will hire a Contractor to handle the bulk of the hands-on administrative work, such as coordinating intern placements, verifying completed work hours in good standing, and other direct-participant activities. MDHHS will oversee all of the Contractor’s work and collaborate with them to resolve programmatic needs.
