Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Bristol Public Works Department is seeking the services of qualified individuals and/orcompanies to assist in snow plowing operations for the 2009-2010 winter season. The City intends tocontract for forty-four (44) trucks with operators, consisting of up to twenty (20) small four-wheel drivetrucks, Ford F350 or equivalent, with a GVW of less than 23,999 lbs.; and up to twenty-four (24) largetrucks, dump or tractor type with a GVW of at least 24,000 lbs. The number of trucks with operators to becontracted for the active list will be limited, with preference given to larger trucks (i.e. if more than 24large truck submissions are received, the Public Works Department reserves the right to accordinglyreduce the number of small trucks contracted). A maximum of four (4) 3-or-4 axle dump trucks may beaccepted only if necessary, to reach the needed number of large trucks. All trucks must have a bodysuitable for carrying a ballast load (furnished by owner) or shall have other suitable ballast, such assecurely attached concrete blocks
