Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. All Routine Maintenance tasks as described below, unless otherwise noted, shall be initiated within 72 hours of notification. Refer to map Attachment B. 2. For those situations that require an emergency response, maintenance must be initiated as soon as possible or within 24 hours after notification by a designated BLLMAC representative. 3. Vendor will provide a crew on an ‘as needed’ basis by the BLLMAC for emergency response. 4. Normal working hours shall be between 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday excluding emergency response. Snow removal is necessary to occur at earlier hours and will be determined by BLLMAC. 5. Live Oak Trees shall not be trimmed or removed for clearance between April 15 and October 31 to lessen the possibility of the spread of Oak Wilt Disease unless otherwise directed by BLLMAC. 6. Downed trees and woody debris less than 5” in diameter may be left onsite if dispersed evenly at least 3 feet away from trail. All debris over 5” in diameter will be chipped on site or removed. 7. Trail shoulders will be mowed biweekly May through October. Refer to map Attachment C. 8. The maximum weight for vehicle/maintenance equipment on all wood boardwalks and bridges is 6,800 pounds. Equipment used shall not damage wood surfaces. Vendor equipment with steel cutting edges may not contact the wooden boardwalk and bridge surface. 9. Prior to Vendor performing sink hole repairs, vendor is to notify BLLMAC of sink hole locations. Sink hole repair should match the surface type where it occurred. 10. Crack sealing work repair work will be performed between August 1- September 30. 11. Prior to digging, post driving or performing any below ground work, MISSDIG is required. 12. Traffic shall be maintained during the Vendor's operations in accordance with the current Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Contractor shall maintain a slow and safe speed on the trail, yielding the right of way to trail users.
