• Contacting Miss Dig and ensuring wrecking clearances have been obtained. • Submitting abatement and demolition notices pursuant to state requirements. • Securing appropriate permits and inspections. • Cutting and capping water and sewer lines. • Asbestos abatement and universal waste removal and disposal. • Demolishing all structures. • Removing asphalt, concrete foundations, building footings, driveways, and surface and buried (if found) debris. • Taking open hole photos of cut and capped utilities and the open excavation showing all foundations have been removed and no debris remains in the excavation. Open hole inspections must also be coordinated with the LBA, so that representatives may be on site to observe open hole conditions. Marking the location of any capped utilities with a labeled wooden stake after backfilling. • Backfilling excavations with clean, compacted, suitable fill material, and finishing with topsoil and grading, as described in section 5.5. • Erosion control and seeding (as needed).
