The Project consists of the historic repair of the Ulysses S. Grant House, a wood framed structure that rests on a cmu foundation in Eastern Market. The project consists of the refurbishment of original wood materials and the removal of roughly one foot of building height added to the building when it was relocated to it's current location.. 1.02 CONTRACT DESCRIPTION A. Contract Type: A single prime contract based on a Stipulated Price as described in Document 00 52 00 - Agreement Form. 1.03 DESCRIPTION OF ALTERATIONS WORK A. Scope of demolition and removal work is indicated on drawings and specified in Section 02 41 19. B. Scope of alterations work is indicated on drawings. C. State Salvage: The State reserves the right to salvage certain items and equipment and those salvaged items will be identified to the Bidder at the time of their inspection of the proposed Work. The State will remove salvaged items before commencement of the Work. D. Moving Furnishings and Equipment: The Contractor must give timely notice to the State Agency representative identified in the pre-construction meeting of all furnishings, window covering and movable equipment that will interfere with the Work or which the Contractor cannot protect with coverings of paper, plastic, drop cloths or clean tarpaulin. The Contractor must furnish, install, maintain, and remove all coverings used to protect furnishings, window coverings and movable equipment.
