Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) is seeking proposals from qualified architectural / engineering firms to provide professional services for the design and construction administration of new sallyport gates and associated work at the Baraga Correctional Facility (AMF). The project includes the removal and replacement of inner and outer gates for the sallyport, including controls. New installation shall include heavy duty crash bars and shall review and design as required the possible installation of posts which would eliminate a straight run at the gate. Design shall provide a new system of gate operation that will not be affected by winter weather. The existing inspection pit in the sallyport shall remain. Gate replacement will require the design to allow for having 2 secure gates at all times, which should be anticipated to require including in the design having a third temporary sallyport swing gate and related fencing with flexzone protection during construction. Provide a complete Professional Services Contractor (PSC) proposal (Technical and Cost) for all required Professional Architectural and Engineering Services in compliance with the State of Michigan, Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) Project Statement (Form DTMB-0427), the DTMB Billable Rate Professional Services Contract, the DTMB Request for Proposal (RFP) Billable Rate Form (DTMB-0430), and the DTMB State Facilities Administration (SFA), Design and Construction (DCD) policies and procedures for the development of a Phase 500, 600 and 700 design and construction services.
