The Gogebic County Land Bank Authority is overseeing the demolition of the property located at 311 Sunday Lake Street, along with associated structures as referenced in this RFP. The intent is to complete demolition activities within the 2026 calendar year. The building is in blighted condition and poses potential environmental and safety hazards. Notable concerns include: • Potential presence of mold throughout the structure • Live pigeons currently occupying interior spaces • Lack of operational lighting within the building Due to these conditions, appropriate safety precautions must be observed by all personnel accessing the site. These precautions include, but are not limited to: • Use of temporary lighting during inspections or interior work • Respiratory protection to guard against potential airborne contaminants, including mold spores and animal droppings. • Adherence to all relevant OSHA safety standards and best practices for entry into deteriorated structures Respondents are expected to factor these conditions into their project approach, cost estimates, and personnel safety planning. A pre-demolition walk-through may be scheduled upon request to assess site-specific conditions.
