Specifications include, but are not limited to: The material shall be natural sand, stone sand slag sand, meeting the following gradations requirements and treated with calcium chloride. Forty pounds per ton (2%) of 77% Flake Calcium Chloride shall be uniformly mixed with sand or 8.7 gallons per ton of liquid 32% Calcium Chloride shall be uniformly mixed with sand. Mixing of the Calcium Chloride with the sand shall not be done more than 30 days prior to nor less than (2) days prior to shipment of the sand to the Genesee County Road Commission. The contractor shall provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all materials and supplies used for this contract. The contractor shall properly dispose of unused material and containers in accordance with the Federal Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) of I 976 and the Michigan Hazardous Waste Management Act (ACT 64).
