Boyne City Main Street/Downtown Development Authority is seeking proposals from qualified companies for irrigation installations to two separate downtown areas: one designated as the Fochtman Lot and the other as the Ray and Lake Lot (overhead views attached). These properties are used for public parking and will be fully landscaped concurrent with this installation. The Fochtman Lot is located at the intersection of the south side of River Street and the west side of Park Street; bounded on the south by the Boyne River. The entrance is on River Street. The Ray and Lake Lot is located at the northeast corner of Lake Street and Ray Street, with an entrance on Ray Street. A successful bidder will consider the following: 1) The layout and purpose of the area being improved 2) Attached landscaping and irrigation plans 3) All work to be completed by May, 31, 2026. We are looking for bids for a fully functional drip irrigation system with one emitter (with appropriate precipitation rate) per plant as depicted on the landscaping plan. The system shall be battery controlled with a commercial latching solenoid zone valve installed below grade in a pit box. Brass backflow prevention shall be installed with all above ground fittings and piping is to be copper. Contractor shall be responsible for the required permits and inspections. A ¾” water supply shall be furnished at grade level with below grade blowout by the City with the necessary metering device. Items to be provided by others: 1) Parking lot signage 2) Lighting 3) Parking lot extension on the south end of the lot 4) Trim work around the river’s edge 5) Finish sidewalk on south end of the lot to the adjoining lot to the west 6) All plant materials.
