The City of Greenville (the “City”) is seeking sealed proposals from professional information technology (I.T.) service providers with a proven track record to provide completely outsourced I.T. services and will be an advocate for the City with recommendations for new technology, security, backup services, planning and budgeting. Background Information • The City has previously contracted for I.T. management services for several years. • The City currently has no dedicated I.T. staff and relies primarily on outside contractual support. • The City has approximately 58 full-time employees, 9 regular part-time employees, 3 contracted employees, and 7 council members. • The City primarily uses Microsoft for office equipment and software and server technology. • The City has a full-time Public Safety Department that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days per year. The Public Safety Department uses Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) information in compliance with Michigan State Police and CJIS requirements. • The City also provides a wide range of municipal services, including, but not limited to, maintenance of public roadways, water and sewer services, wastewater treatment, inspection of new and existing construction, planning and zoning, parks and recreation, community center and general administration. • Employee workstations are varied and are currently running Windows 10 or greater. The City replaces several workstations annually. • The City requires multi-factor authentication for all users.
