Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall be responsible to demolish, remove, and dispose off-site 33 existing classroom ceiling units with all associated refrigeration pipe, thermostat and outdoor condensing units as shown on the bid drawings. Contractor shall be responsible to disconnect power, drainpipe and low voltage thermostat wiring. Contractor shall be responsible for ceiling and wall repairs to maintain proper fire rating as result of existing classroom HVAC demolition as detailed on the bid drawings. There are 33 new classroom heat pump units intended for 1 for 1 replacement of existing HVAC units. New fan coil units are to be installed above ceilings, ducted to air diffusers, and reconnected to the current drainpipe system. Contract responsible for ceiling pad repair and placement of new ceiling tiles as necessary. New refrigeration pipe to be routed in a similar manner to each classroom outdoor condensing unit all controlled with a new wall thermostat as shown on the bid drawings. New electrical single-phase power and associated indoor electrical panels are required for classroom heat pump units with each supplemental electric heating coil separately powered as shown on the bid drawings. There are 33 new outdoor condensing units to be supported on existing concrete slabs where the original units resided as shown on the bid drawings. Contractor responsible to secure and set units plumb level according to the manufacturer’s recommendation. Contractor responsible for providing new single-phase power and associated panels as shown on the bid drawings. There are 8 existing electric cabinet heaters to be replaced 1 for 1 with new ones in their current respectful location. Contractor responsible to secure and set units plumb level according to the manufacturer’s recommendation. Contractor responsible for providing reconnecting power as shown on the bid drawings. he existing thermostat and HVAC equipment to be removed from the school’s building energy management system (BMS) for this project. New room thermostats will not be reconnected to the BMS and are to operate, control and function standalone. | Contractor shall be licensed and insured, responsible to furnish and install a complete operating system with the appropriate local permitting, testing and startup.
