EMISSION SYSTEM COMPONENTS □ Comply □ Exception The chassis emissions system components such as the exhaust (SCR) Selective Catalytic Reduction chamber and (DPF) Diesel Particulate Filter locations shall not be relocated by the body manufacture for any reason. CHASSIS EXHAUST □ Comply □ Exception The chassis exhaust shall be routed to the underside of the apparatus exiting in front of the passenger side rear wheels. STAINLESS STEEL WHEEL TRIM KITS □ Comply □ Exception A set of high polished stainless steel wheel trim kits shall be provided and installed. The wheel trim kit shall include individual lug nut covers and center covers. CENTER CONSOLE □ Comply □ Exception A center console shall be provided between the driver and officer seats. The console shall be designed to allow for mounting of switches, siren head and other vehicles required emergency equipment. The console shall be black LineX or Black Onyx coated. CONSOLE MAP POCKET □ Comply □ Exception The console shall be provided with a map pocket for clip board and map book storage. DISSIMILAR METALS □ Comply □ Exception Care shall be taken to avoid contact between dissimilar metals in the construction of the apparatus; however, it is inevitable that these metals will come in contact in some areas around the apparatus. These areas shall be treated with “ECK” to help prevent dielectric corrosion. SUB FRAME & FASTENERS □ Comply □ Exception The entire body sub frame shall be fabricated from structural aluminum or stainless steel. The sub frame shall be positioned so as to provide a running board height of approximately 22” to 24” when fully loaded. APPARATUS BODY DESIGN □ Comply □ Exception The preferred tanker design is a dry side tanker configuration, meaning the tank shall be concealed inside the body. The body shall be fabricated from Aluminum or Stainless Steel. GENERAL COMPARTMENTATION □ Comply □ Exception The body shall include lower body compartments on each side of the apparatus, forward of the rear wheels. The fabrication and assembly process must provide a smooth painted exterior body.
