Specifications include, but are not limited to: Hall of Justice - Repair/Replace retaining wall railings, waterproof ramp, and repair building entrance; Phase 100 and 500 design services to correct water infiltration issues in the Hall of Justice east ramp, along with repairs to the east main building entrance, the North and South colonnade entrances and to the dock retaining walls and the dock stormwater hatch. The concrete foundations and ramp ceiling decks are failing in the east ramp causing deterioration of the ceiling system. The pavers leading to the main entrance are set in a sand bed above the ramp and the water is not draining causing leaks into the ramp and causing the pavers to heave which leads to trip hazards. Also, several of the pavers are in poor shape and deteriorating due to winter salting and water damage. The area has known rainwater main drain and general drainage issues that needs to be corrected too. Alternative options to the current paver system should be considered during design that might require less maintenance and provided improved durability to the walkways. Several areas have been closed off to keep pedestrians out of the paver areas due to trip hazards.
