t is the intent of the Ionia County Road Department to contract for the Michigan Department of Transportation for rumble strip noise monitoring on 1-96 in Berlin Township. The contractor shall furnish all the materials, labor and equipment needed for the study as required, per the Michigan Department of Transportation plans and specifications. 1. Monitor sound levels for a 24-hour period. 2. Measurements to be conducted near the road surface. 3. All measurements to be performed within MDOT Right of Way. 4. Analysis ofsound between vehicles and shoulder corrugations. 5. Level of sound from vehicles and corrugations. 6. Number of occurrences from vehicles and corrugations. 7. Measurements to be taken at two locations simultaneously. 8. Data recordings to be conducted at a frequency of 20Hz to 20KHz. 9. Summary report to include activities, equipment, analysis methods and observations.
