Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. The Contractor shall give the technician typed log sheets, made out in accordance with provisions of Section 42.10 (e) of the ELV-2 Safety Code. One of these sheets shall be posted on the visible side of the pump unit tank of each oil hydraulic elevator. b. The oil drip pan on oil hydraulic machines shall be emptied and the oil level in the tank checked. c. The entire elevator machine, including the sheave, or drum, and bedplate shall be washed to remove all excess oil and grease. d. The worm shaft packing gland shall be tightened if necessary and overflow pan emptied. e. Rope grooves and traction drive sheave shall be checked. If any groove is worn, this shall be immediately called to the Facility Director’s attention.
