Specifications include, but are not limited to: The South Hadley Senior Center project is a ground-up, new-build Senior Center building with its required parking lot and vehicular & pedestrian pathways. The proposed square footage of the new building is approximately 16,000 sq. ft. Prior to starting the ground-up construction, the existing Senior Center building (approximately 17,000SF+/-) is to be abated and razed. The structural system of the new building is a steel structure on a concrete floor slab and concrete foundation walls and footings. The exterior envelope will consist of a combination of composite siding and brick veneer, metal stud framing with insulation, vapor and air barrier systems and a combination of membrane and asphalt shingle roofing. The interior wall construction will be metal stud and gypsum wallboard. The flooring will consist of carpet, resilient flooring and tile. The heating plant is to consist of one boiler with a hot water hydronic system.
