Specifications include, but are not limited to: Monitoring and Maintenance/Repair of Fire Alarm System at various PWD properties for FY20. 2.01 The contractor shall make the necessary repair and maintenance work to fire alarm system including but not limited to the electrical panel, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, strobes, wiring, speakers etc. for the Public Works Department, on an as needed basis for the period of July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. 2.02 The contractor shall obtain the necessary permits to do the repair work, from any agency having jurisdiction over the project; especially the Inspectional Services Department (ISD) or the Boston Fire Department. The contractor shall employ qualified and licensed (or whatever is required by any agency having jurisdiction over the project) repairmen/women to do the work. 2.03 The contractor shall monitor the fire alarm system 24x7x365 days. The monitoring of the alarm will be continuous and the notification/s will be per industry standards. 2.04 The contractor shall inspect the system at least four times a year, quarterly and he/she shall supply the owner with a quarterly report describing the condition of the fire alarm system and its apprentices. The report must be per industry standards. 2.05 The contractor shall provide any and all tools, equipment and material necessary to do the work. 2.06 If the need arises, the contractor may be called to work at any day of the week and to respond to emergencies during the off hours.
