The objective of this project is to perform repeated standardized site surveys for ocellated darner exuviae at a combination of 30 historical and predicted sites of occurrence during their approximate flight period of July 20th – September 1st 2020. Data collected will inform status assessment, conservation management and research objectives for ocellated darner and co-occurring dragonflies. MassWildlife will analyze data for suitable publication in a scientific journal and contractors interested in collaborating as coauthors are welcome to apply. The study is designed to meet the basic requirements of estimating ocellated darner occupancy and detection and help estimate basic stream habitat associations.
