Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Massachusetts Commission for the Blind (MCB) is seeking a provider to do a series of intensive “bootcamp” training to prepare our Vocational Rehabilitation and Pre-ETS students with soft skills work and related issues to prepare them for their upcoming internships. MCB wants to ensure that these students are ready when they walk in the door on the first day of their internship to be conversational, and have confidence in their inter-personal and problem-solving skills and be able to accept and respond to constructive criticism and guidance from their supervisors, and the complete array of other soft skills. We would like this intensive training to be done over the course of up to 10 days in person or via webinar at six locations to cover the state. If you have locations to propose holding these, please indicate that in your response. Otherwise, MCB can assist with the locations by using its Boston, Worcester, Springfield, and New Bedford offices and finding additional locations for the remaining two locations. Provider will agree to and arrange for the videotaping of these trainings for MCB. If you have the videography skills but not the training skills, you can subcontract with a provider for the training piece and inform MCB of who you will subcontract with for this piece. Likewise, If you do not have the capacity to do the videotaping but have the training experience, then it is expected that you will subcontract for that portion and inform MCB of who you subcontract with for this piece. MCB will obtain the necessary releases from the students to agree to the videotaping. The videotaped sessions will be transferred to MCB in a mutually agreeable format.
