• Creation of comprehensive plan to address functionality, playability, aesthetic appeal and consistency of architectural design of the 18-hole golf course and practice areas. • Functionality should be considered a top priority in this plan. o The plan focusing on providing consistent playing conditions throughout the variety of weather impacts. o The plan should also take into account the footprint of the golf course and efforts should be to minimize its footprint on the property if possible. o Drainage, wetlands improvements, irrigation, agronomical practices, and accessibility should be incorporated into any improvements/changes proposed. • The golf course typically gets approximately 28,000 rounds played every year. Due to the high traffic rate of the golf course, the following are expectations the Master Plan should address: o Adequate teeing areas and design on all holes o Variety of tee options for different abilities o Tree management plan focused on yearly selective tree removal, pruning, and planting o Evaluation of the 78 bunkers including evaluation for replacement, removal, or additional bunkers added throughout the golf course o Evaluation of drainage issues on the course, most notably on holes 9, 10 and 13. o Looking at the third hole and a redesign to make it longer and to incorporate better teeing areas. • Evaluation of the existing irrigation system as our current system is out of date and failing and recommendation for next steps. o The Architect/Consultant should collaborate with an irrigation consultant on the golf course irrigation design to provide maximum coverage and efficient water distribution across the playing surfaces. o Evaluation of the retention pond on hole #4 as it is currently leaking through the liner.
