Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Massachusetts Department of Criminal Justice Information Services (DCJIS) manages and administers the Commonwealth’s law enforcement information and criminal records systems, the Massachusetts Instant Record Check System (MIRCS), and the Victim Notification Registry (VNR). DCJIS consists of the Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) Support Unit, Statewide Applicant Fingerprint Identification Services (SAFIS) Response Unit, Constituent Assistance and Research Unit (CARU), Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Support Services, Victim Services, and Firearms Records Bureau (FRB). DCJIS, an Agency within the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS), seeks Bidders to bid on providing a new Electronic Firearms Issuance and Record Check System, currently referred to as Massachusetts Instant Record Check System (MIRCS) and hereafter referred to as the “System“ solution, to issue firearms licenses and recording transactions. The Vendors providing these products and services will be established Bidders with proven experience and expertise.
