Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is the first part of a two-step RFP process as provided in M.G.L. c. 149, §44D1/2. Based on the SOQs received in this Phase I, BHA will select respondents it deems to be prequalified in accordance with the criteria set forth in the RFQ. In Phase II, the prequalified respondents will be invited to submit bids in response to an IFB which BHA anticipates to be issued in October 2024. Only GC firms and FSB firms prequalified for this project in Phase I will be permitted to submit bids in Phase II. The Boston Housing Authority is using this project funding to make improvements to windows and bathroom ventilation across residential units at the federally assisted Ruth Barkley Apartments in 9 buildings (384 units). This investment would improve air quality, increase efficiency and improve resident comfort across the site through the replacement of existing windows and replacement of existing bathroom exhaust systems. The project consist of removing and replacing existing windows, removing and replacing of existing exhaust grilles, rooftop exhaust fan units, cleaning existing ducts, and Installing new ventilation to exterior as well as install new receptacles to serve future electrical oven/ ranges at 311 of the units. The project will be phased and the buildings will be occupied during construction. .
