General Description: All work shall be performed by experienced Floor Replacement Contractor and shall supply all materials: 1. Carpeting manufacturer Tandus Centiva to match existing carpet, Style Crayon, color is Outside the Lines. 2. VCT colors to be Azrock or matched to the color chosen in the Azrock Collection V-275, V-259, V-2628, and V-2626 in the cafeteria to be designed with a pattern with the 4 colors and V-2626 will be the main color and the hallway color. 3. Slip resistance rolled flooring Altro Walkway 20, color is Rodeo or equal in quality. 4. 6 inch cove base is to be used, color to be determined. 5. Transition strips/thresholds to be replaced in all areas. 6. All colors and patterns to be approved by the Plant & Facilities Manager prior to ordering of the products and start date. Areas Kitchen - to include the store room and bathroom (1480 sq. ft.) Rolled Flooring (Altro Walkway 20 or equal product and color is Rodeo or and equal to this product) to be installed. This square footage does not include the 6” cove that will be part of the rolled flooring. Hallway Back – off the kitchen (410 sq. ft.) VCT to be installed with 6” vinyl cove base Cafeteria and Maintenance Hall - leading to boiler room (2,930sq. ft.) VCT to be installed with 6” vinyl cove base. Hallway straight down from main entrance - (1,272 sq. ft.) to be installed Tandus Centiva carpeting to match the existing carpet color is style Crayon, color is Outside The Lines and 6” vinyl cove base. Door Grids - matting replacement in two hallways at the doors (60 sq. ft.) to be installed is a Tandus Centiva Walk Off matting, color is Steelwork 26202. Installation All floors to be leveled and cracks to be filled with leveling compound. All floors to be examined and prepped for adhesion. Vacuum to remove all dust before installing new flooring. Follow all the manufacturer’s recommendations for installation. All disposal of the materials is the responsibility of the contractor to dispose of properly. All transition strips shall be replaced under doors, entryways and areas adjacent to vinyl/tile/carpet flooring in areas of newly replaced flooring that meet existing flooring. Install new 6” cove base in all areas of VCT and Carpet. Check and confirm new carpet thickness at doors to have proper clearance for correct door operation. Work hours can be anytime between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Your work time needs to be scheduled with the Plant & Facilities Manager for each day. Contractor shall clear away all debris and vacuum all areas.
