Specifications include, but are not limited to: The chassis shall have a vehicle identification number that reflects a 2020 model year or later and shall be new.The apparatus shall be a pumper vehicle designed for emergency service use which shall be equipped with a permanently mounted fire pump which has a minimum rated capacity of 750 gallons per minute (3000 L/min). The apparatus shall include a water tank and hose body whose primary purpose is to combat structural and associated fires.The chassis shall be manufactured for use as a straight truck type vehicle and designed for the installation of a permanently mounted apparatus behind the cab. The apparatus of the vehicle shall be supplied and installed by the apparatus manufacturer.The chassis shall include provisions to mount a drive line pump in the middle of the chassis, behind the cab, more commonly known as the midship location.The cab shall be a custom, fully enclosed, EMFD model with a 10.00 inch raised roof over the driver, officer, and crew area, designed and built specifically for use as an emergency response vehicle by a company specializing in cab and chassis design for all emergency response applications. The cab shall be designed for heavy-duty service utilizing superior strength and capacity for the application of protecting the occupants of the vehicle. This style of cab shall offer up to eight (8) seating positions.
