Specifications include, but are not limited to: The new Reuben Hoar Public Library, in Littleton, MA (the project) consists of the construction of a new two-story, 22,280sf steel framed building, with a slab-on-grade lower floor, a composite framed upper deck, steel framed sloping roofs, concrete frost walls and footings, light-gauge steel framed walls, connections to and extensions of utilities in the both the street and on-site, new paved parking lot and connections to existing lot, and associated sitework. The building will be clad with masonry at the lower level, and cementitious siding and trim at the upper level, and include aluminum clad wood windows, curtainwall window and door openings, and asphalt shingle roofing. Site work includes: tree and brush clearing, excavation, retaining walls, grading, drainage, access road improvements, work in the wetlands buffer, and underground utility systems, new bituminous concrete parking area, curbing, lawns, site improvements, and other work throughout the site. Systems include: VRF mechanical system, electrical, plumbing, technology, and fire protection. Filed Sub-bids will likely include Unit Masonry, Miscellaneous Metals, Waterproofing, Dampproofing & Caulking, Roofing & Flashing, Glass And Glazing, Tiling, Acoustical Ceilings, Resilient Flooring, Painting, Hydraulic Elevators, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical/Technology. The project will be pursuing LEED Certification at the Certified Level.
