Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The project work consists of shoring existing roof framing to make column repairs, excavation to expose existing exterior building column foundations, removal of exterior concrete column encasements, cutting off the bases of the existing exterior structural steel wide flange columns, casting new concrete piers above grade, welding new base plates to the existing steel columns with anchors to new piers touch up steel painting, new gravel drip edges and patching bituminous paving. The column repairs shall be constructed so as to meet all requirements of the Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, the plans and specifications for Column Repairs; Plymouth River Elementary School; Hingham, MA. B. General Project Information : Repair the bases of 70 existing exterior steel building support columns by installing concrete pier extensions, cutting off the bottom of the steel columns and installing new base plates and anchors bolts from existing columns to the new concrete piers. C. The work will include all operations necessary to deliver the building(s) and ancillary site work in a fully installed and operable condition including all utility and site work and obtaining all necessary licenses, permits, and certificates. Where utilities exist within and adjacent to the building(s), and are known by the Owner, they have been shown on the site plan(s) appearing in, but not restricted to, the exhibits.
