Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.As part of the bid response, contractors must document the type and style of equipment they will beusing for the survey. The following equipment is considered to be mandatory for a comprehensive surveyof this type: modern electronic acoustic leak detectors, with both ground microphones and contactmicrophones, and leak noise correlators, capable of detecting small amounts of leakage (i.e., 1-5 GPM).2.Each hydrant and main gate valve box shall be listened to with a leak locator, and any that had leak sounds shall be recorded and reported.3.Where required, leak site pinpointing shall be performed using a correlator, utilizing 2 or more sensorsand verified with a sonic ground sounding technique.4.The leak shall be classified as to estimated water loss and severity. A leakage site report shall beprepared for each suspected point of leakage.5.The Contractor shall provide all necessary manpower, vehicles and safety equipment necessary for streetsurvey
