Specifications include, but are not limited to:. The Agency requires that the System be an already existing Commercial off the Shelf Software (COTS) package, operating via the Internet. The System will instantly and simultaneously receive and transmit data for all users during the transaction process. Users of the System include but are not limited to the Contractor Call Center, staff at all DCR Facilities and Central Offices in Boston, as well as customers wishing to make a reservation. All sales channels (Internet, Call Center and Facility) will work seamlessly together to eliminate any instances of double bookings. The System will also have the capability to serve as a sales channel for Annual Parking Passes, Permits and other Agency services or opportunities. Finally, the system will include a Point of Sale (POS) component capable of managing the sale of firewood, parking pass sales and other on-site products or services. Since the System will operate via the Internet, the Bidder is required to provide a secured connection where only Authorized Users will have access to the System. The System will also offer full access via smart phone and tablet. The Agency will have final approval of all content of the System. Additionally, the Awarded Bidder will supply software and the implementation of a program, such as Captcha, to determine whether or not the user is human.
