As part of that statewide network of training resources, EEC is seeking to establish a list of qualified trainers and consultants from which it will draw on an “as needed” basis to design and/or provide trainings/presentations/facilitations on different topics related to children that will increase the knowledge, understanding, and skill levels of EEC staff and/or early childhood and afterschool and out of school time (ASOST) educators. Areas in which professional development and training expertise are sought include but are not limited to: Developmentally appropriate practice for young children; Quality mentoring, advising, and technical assistance; Developing quality environments; Child development; Curriculum development; Literacy and learning; Building relationships and classroom management; Child guidance; Observing and recording children’s behaviors; Partnering with parents; Inclusion, etc.
