Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Town of Weymouth is seeking proposals from interested, qualified nonprofit organizations to reuse, operate and manage the buildings and grounds of the Emery Estate, a 24-acre property acquired by the Town in 2011 with Community Preservation Act funds. The principal buildings include a two-story Carriage House and the Main House, a three-story colonial home modeled on George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate. The property offers a commanding view of the downtown Boston skyline from atop a prominent geological feature called King Oak Hill in Weymouth. Reuse plans should involve a combination of revenue generating and non-revenue generating activities. Responding organizations must have a nonprofit status.
