Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Department of Fire Services (DFS) is seeking options for a wireless automated gate security system for an existing gate. Our current access control system for the building is Keyscan. Ideally, we are looking to integrate with this existing system, but are open to other options. If you are proposing a cellular phone based system, it must be compatible with Verizon Wireless. Please take into consideration that there are a large number of vehicles of varying heights and sizes accessing this entrance, including passenger vehicles, tractor trailers and emergency response vehicles that need quick and easy access. The point of access for users (whether it be an intercom button, key swipe, etc.) should be able to accommodate the various heights of the vehicles. We are not interested in a “garage-style” door opener, as there are over 150 DFS vehicles that would require a device. Additionally, there will be outside vendors that will need access to this entrance, not just DFS vehicles, therefore a system to allow visitors to remotely request an escort, as well as remote access for staff that do not have daily credentials to access the gated area, is necessary.
