Specifications include, but are not limited to: Elm St. to Cole Ct. (East bound) We will be removing the old sidewalk and installing a new sidewalk east bound, from Elm St. to Cole Ct. Total length is 2200 Feet. The new sidewalk will connect 150 feet before Linden St. and 150 feet after Linden St where there was a new sidewalk already installed. It will be paved with Bituminous Concrete (Hot Mix Asphalt) 1 ½ inches of ¾ Binder and 1 ½ inches of 3/8 Dense Top. Driveway aprons will have 2 1/2 inches of ¾ binder and 1 ½ inches of 3/8 Dense top. All walkways that currently meet the sidewalk will have to meet ADA compliance as well as the sidewalk. All walkways will be reconstructed with the same materials that are currently there even if new materials need to be purchased. The sidewalk will be lined with VA4 granite curb with a 6 inch reveal. Granite Curb length is 1912 Feet. There are 6 granite curb inlets that need to be readjusted and 1 new curb inlet to be installed. All curb joints must be mortared. There’s 2 curb ramps to be installed at the east and west side of Elm St. Duralast Detectable Warning Pads (4-30”x 24”cast iron item# 00700721) must be used. Sidewalk width will be 5 feet where possible. All grass strips will remain as grass. All curb boxes in the sidewalk or within 3 Feet of either side of sidewalk will be replaced. Town of Holliston Water Dept. will supply curb boxes. Following addresses for curb box replacement 510, 520, 534, 550, 560, 634, 638, 644, 652, 662, 674, 676, 684, 688 and 696.; Winter St to the westerly side of 671 Washington St. (West bound) Will be removing the old sidewalk and installing a new sidewalk west bound, from Winter St. to 671 Washington St. Total length is 1695 feet. The new sidewalk will connect 150 feet before Linden St and 150 after Linden St. where there was a new sidewalk already installed. Two (2) Fire hydrants need to be replaced and moved back to the backside of the sidewalk. They are located at 547 Washington St. in front of the Historical Society and the other one is at 617 Washington St at the corner of Fairlane Way. Fire hydrants will be supplied by the contractor who’s doing the sidewalk project and any piping and couplings will be supplied by the Town of Holliston Water Dept.. The fire hydrant will be Kennedy K81D 5 ¼ valve opening, open left and 5Ft 6inch buried height. All curb boxes in the sidewalk or within 3 feet of either side of the sidewalk will be replaced. Town of Holliston Water Dept. will supply curb boxes. Following addresses for cub box replacement 507, 547, 567, 579, 609, 617 ,629, 635 ,645, 657, 663 and 671.
