Specifications include, but are not limited to: Remove the existing two vault doors in the Westfield Armory and replace both with new vault doors and frame that are compatible with the existing opening and GSA approved in accordance with Federal Specification FF-L-2937. The contractor shall be responsible for the removal and disposal of the existing vault doors and frames as necessary. Vendor shall be responsible for any/all retrofit and re-engineering of local structure at existing door frames and partitions as required by new vault doors specifications. Vendor shall work in line with Electronic Security System (ESS) Manager (Todd Beaulieu) to ensure intrusion detection system (IDS) is operational. The vault doors shall be rated for Category II storage (AR190-11). The vault doors shall be installed in a phased manner and a schedule will be provided to the POC outlined below. The contractor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of the existing doors; retrofit and reengineering of the existing vault door openings as required by the new vault door specifications. In addition, the contractor will be responsible for ensuring that the intrusion detection system is operational. A final cleaning shall be included upon completion of the installation/replacement. Work can be performed during normal business hours (0700-1500), the building will remain operational and the contractor must coordinate the installation with the POC outlined below. The unit/POC is responsible for relocating any equipment before the installation is scheduled to allow free and unobstructed access to the area. A walk through with the POC must be conducted prior to submitting any proposal for the project.
