Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. It is intended that these specifications be descriptive of the type of materials to be used and the work and labor involved, in order that the roadways and parking lots under The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth control will be properly maintained so that a safe road surface is prevalent at all times. The contractor must be available within two hours of initial call to perform snow removal, de-icing and/or pretreatment with all equipment needed. 2. The Contractor will furnish all of the necessary labor, supervision and tools, materials, fuel and equipment necessary to complete the following tasks requested on University roadways, parking lots and walkways. 3. There is no implied guarantee that the selected contractor will be called into service on any given storm. Small snowfall amounts can typically be handled with in-house staff.
