• Pull seasonal soil and water tests and interpret test data. Use all test data available (water, base, paste, physical) to create appropriate agronomic plans. • Supply products, application guides, and services that: 1. Are regulatory compliant. 2. Use an IPM (Integrated Pest Management) based approach. 3. Are consistent with the goals of the city and the specific needs of each area. 4. Contain rates, timing, frequency, types of applications and cultural practices. 5. Provide innovative plant health technologies that improve playing conditions. • Help establish a predictable budget for fertilizers, seed, chemicals, soil amendments, and cultural practices. • Keep track of applications for regulatory compliance with integrated management software. Training on the use of the software for management purposes shall be included. • Communicate and coordinate efforts with Golf Course Superintendent and staff (and Contractors if required) to ensure that applications and cultural practices are performed, timely and accurately. • Routinely follow up and tour site with Golf Course Superintendent to ensure a successful season. Adjust planners and application guides as necessary. Continue to learn and understand unique challenges on the Golf Course to better support long term maintenance and construction efforts. • Coordinate and follow up on deliveries of materials to the Golf Course. • Provide consultation with regards to turf species selection, soil modification, plant and soil nutrition, water management, disease/insect/weed ID, and treatment recommendations. • Provide educational opportunities in soil testing/interpretation, product chemistry innovation, and team building/communication/leadership to Golf Course Superintendent and Staff. • Assist the City of Quincy and Furnace Brook Golf Club as needed FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE NOT INCLUDED IN PROFESSIONAL SERVICES as accessing advisors in Green-space design/renovation/construction, drainage and soil evaluation, sustainability planning, MA environmental law and compliance.
