k Kirrane Ice Rink at Larz Anderson Park. The existing refrigeration system (chiller) at the Kirrane Rink suffered a major internal failure at the end of April 2020. The contractor shall furnish a turn-key temporary refrigeration system that includes setting up a mobile refrigeration unit that would be self-contained and placed in the parking area below the mechanical room, installing proper electrical connections and plumbing fixtures for the secondary refrigerant (propolyne propylene glycol) in the mechanical room for connection to temporary chiller unit, connecting temporary chiller unit to the existing header system and electrical, fully recharging the existing secondary refrigeration system with propylene glycol, and providing training on how to control slab temperature. The contractor shall maintain the temporary refrigeration system for the duration of the contract including starting up and shutting down the system seasonally and supplemental partial recharge of glycol as needed.
