Removal of the concrete main entrance stairs, installation of new concrete stair structure with solid granite treads, removal and reinstallation of stone cladding, repair and reinstallation of stair railings, and cleaning of all limestone cladding on the stairs and front elevation of the library building, as well as associated miscellaneous work indicated on the drawings and in this specification. ▪ Removal and replacement of the brick masonry chimney indicated on the drawings and associated repairs. The general scope of the construction work is briefly described as follows: o Removal of the existing brick masonry chimney to the level shown on the drawings. Existing terra cotta elements shall be safely removed and stored for installation in the new chimney construction. o The chimney shall be rebuilt to match the size and configuration of the existing chimney.
