The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (“MassWildlife”) is seeking a supply labor and materials to furnish and install approximately 380 feet of fencing. The project is to install pressure-treated (PT) wooden split rail fencing along the property boundary of Mass Wildlife's Nashua River Access and 22 Groton Street (Willett property), Pepperell, MA 01463. This property has been surveyed and boundary pins are visible at each corner of the boundary. The Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials, tools and equipment and do all the work necessary to complete the work in accordance with the Specifications described herein. The 380 ft 2- rail pressure treated (PT) fence will have an estimated (36) 6ft (PT) posts and (70) 11ft (PT) rails. Holes will be dug for each post, then placed, packed and the area graded to ensure that they are secured. Two PT wood rails will be installed between each set of posts. The post should be installed 2-3ft into the ground and backfilled with the original soil. Tamping the soil around the posts as the hole is backfilled. No cement. The top rail shall be approximately 3ft above the ground. Five additional rails will be provided to MassWildlife. Figure 1 shows the location where the fence will be installed (dark blue).
