The Town of Westford is seeking bids to perform sidewalk snow removal services for the 2019-2020 winter as part of a PILOT program approved and implemented by the Westford Board of Selectmen. The town is seeking bids for a one-year with two, one-year extension periods at the discretion of the town. The town is seeking qualified contractors to remove snow from approximately 2.9 miles of sidewalks located in Westford. Work will consist of completely removing accumulated and deposited snow on the sidewalk as the result of plowing operations on the roadway. Snow shall be completely removed from the sidewalk, including the areas where the sidewalk intersects side streets and residential driveways. Absolutely no snow shall be deposited back on roadways that have been previously cleared of snow by snow plowing operations. This work shall be performed by a piece of snow removal equipment with a maximum width of 48”.
