Installation of forty (40) new sidewalk curb ramps throughout The Town of Holliston. Curb ramps will need to be cut into existing sidewalks. Project specifics: ● 360 feet of granite and concrete curbing that will have to be adjusted. Where granite curbing is needed the Town of Holliston will supply. ● Curb ramp thickness must be at least six (6) inches of cement concrete. ● Cast Iron Duralast detectable warning pads shall be installed in all ramps. (Duralast Product # 00700571 - 24x24 inches) ● Asphalt shall be placed to meet curb ramps, existing sidewalk and street (asphalt must be flush with ramps). ● Loam and seed where needed around curb ramps. ● One police detail will be used for traffic control, if police detail is not available, one flagger will be allowed to control traffic. All traffic control signage is the responsibility of the contractor. ● All gravel in curb ramps and sidewalks must be compacted with no less than 6,000 pounds of compaction force per square foot. ● All bituminous concrete will be compacted with no less than a 2 ton vibratory roller.
