1. General Description 1.1. The Contractor shall furnish and install all required equipment, devices, wiring, and controls necessary to provide a complete, functional, and operational security and access control system as outlined in the contract documents. 1.2. The primary devices include, but are not limited to: cameras, card readers, intercoms, and associated door hardware. The system shall be fully integrated and ready for use upon acceptance by the town. 1.3. No Residential-level security hardware or software will be accepted. The Town will only accept Commercial, institutional, or government level grade products for installation. 2. Software 2.1. General Requirements & Minimum Functionality: 2.1.1. The software must interface seamlessly with all hardware components specified in this scope of work (e.g., IP cameras, card readers, intercom stations). 2.1.2. Door Monitoring & Alarms: Forced-Open Alarms: System shall generate an alert if a door is forced open without proper credential or request-to-exit signal. 2.1.3. Hold-Open Alarms: System shall generate an alert if a door is held open beyond a preset duration. 2.1.4. Remote Lock/Unlock Capability: Authorized users shall be able to lock or unlock doors remotely through the software interface, including from the designated remote station. 2.1.5. Access Logs: The system shall provide comprehensive logs, recording each valid or invalid badge swipe/credential use, date and time, and door location. 2.1.6. Credential Setup: The system shall allow authorized administrators to create, edit, and revoke credentials. 2.1.7. Customizable Access Levels: Administrators shall be able to configure which doors or groups of doors each user can access, along with time-based restrictions. 2.1.8. Standard Reports: Software shall include standard reporting features (e.g., “Door Access by User,” “Events by Date,” “Forced/Held Door Events”). 2.1.9. Graphical User Interface: The platform shall feature an intuitive, user-friendly interface for daily monitoring, event review, and credential management. 2.1.10. Multi-User Access: System must allow administrator-level accounts, in addition to standard user/operator accounts as required by the Town.
