The Town of Wayland, pursuant to M.G.L. 30B, is seeking proposals for a Consultant to evaluate the current condition and future needs of Wayland Public School buildings and educational programs in order to develop a long-term facilities master plan aligned with the district’s strategic vision for teaching and learning. The Town and WPS seek a consultant to develop a long-term educational facilities master plan that reflects current and future programmatic needs and vision, demographic trends, capital investment priorities, and the district’s educational vision. The plan should evaluate each facility’s physical condition and functional adequacy, and identify opportunities for enhancing learning environments in alignment with the district’s evolving pedagogical goals and environmental objectives. The selected consultant will be expected to: ● Conduct a thorough assessment of the five school buildings. ● Engage stakeholders to identify long-term educational priorities. ● Present multiple planning options that reflect programmatic needs and fiscal constraints. ● Provide technical expertise and facilitate engagement with the community and the School Committee. ● Deliver clear, actionable recommendations within a 10-year Master Plan to guide decision-making for the Town and School District. This Facilities Master Plan will be a foundational document to support capital planning, identify potential funding strategies, and ensure that Wayland’s educational infrastructure continues to meet the needs of students and the broader community.
