The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking proposals from eligible vendors to conduct a state-wide market rate survey study of regulated child care providers published rates. The purpose of the child care market rate survey study is to: Produce up-to-date, statistically reliable estimates of daily child care market rates and other relevant information for each of the twenty-eight (28) Local Workforce Development Areas (LWDAs) and separate estimates for the entire state of Texas. Analyze access to the child care market in each LWDA at current reimbursement rates and Assist Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDBs) to establish effective child care payment rates, and policies and procedures that ensure equal access to child care services for families eligible for subsidies.
