Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall provide residential dormitory security services the University’s residential hall, seven (7) days per week from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, and 12:00am to 8:00 am. The Services shall include maintaining secure facilities in the residential hall by providing access control by contractor staffing the hall’s security desk; screening students, faculty, visitors and staff; denying access to unauthorized individuals; and all other requirements as set out in this RFP. In the event of any lock down, shelter in place, bad weather condition, University weather closure, strike, work stoppage or other interference, Contractor’s staff shall continue to report for duty, remain at their posts, and discharge their duties in a professional manner and perform such other duties as are determined essential and proper under such circumstances as directed by the University, or its designees. Should the Contractor’s staff be derelict in the performance of the Services, or should any other circumstances prevent their performance under this Contract the University may use whatever measures it deems appropriate under the circumstances for its protection.
