● Fabricate and install a beam clamp and galvanized Unistrut subframe securely attached to the railroad bridge using exterior-rated, corrosion-resistant hardware and methods suitable for structural applications. ● All steel members and fasteners must be galvanized or otherwise corrosion-resistant for bridge environments. Aluminum Cabinet Frame ● Fabricate and install a 6" deep aluminum extrusion cabinet (or equivalent) spanning approximately 5 ft (H) × 54 ft (W). ● Provide two removable end caps for panel access and maintenance. ● Finish: factory protective finish (or city-approved equivalent). Aluminum Composite Panels & Printing (includes coordination for artwork specifications) ● Fabricate or provide aluminum composite panels sized to fit the cabinet. ● Provide the city’s Director of Arts and Culture with verified panel dimensions, tolerances, and artwork specifications (e.g., DPI, file format, color profiles) required for successful printing. ● Coordinate with the city to receive the final digital artwork file once the separate artist procurement is complete. ● Provide a print proof (digital and/or hard sample as appropriate) for city approval prior to full production. ● Print the approved artwork file onto the aluminum composite panels, either directly or through a qualified subcontractor, ensuring professional quality and fidelity to the original file. ● Panels must be laminated or otherwise protected to ensure fade resistance for a minimum of 5–7 years. Installation ● Provide all equipment (e.g., bucket trucks/lifts) and labor to install the subframe, cabinet, and printed panels on the bridge. ● Work must comply with all applicable safety regulations, including traffic and pedestrian control if required. ● Restore any disturbed areas and protect existing structures during installation.
