Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Nantucket proposes to design and build a brand new 13,440 square foot Municipal Garage/Maintenance building with an attached 80x68 Administration facility. This (pre-engineered) type 168 feet by 80 feet by 24-foot steel structure that would to be constructed on an active wastewater facility. This project must comply with all applicable Massachusetts public purchasing regulations. The garage-maintenance portion 8,000 square feet of the building will be heated by floor radiant heating to be supplied by an evacuated tube solar collection system with large solar hot water storage tanks. The exterior door aprons and associated walkways and ramps with also be heated to prevent icing. The administration portion of 5,440 square feet of the building will house, kitchen and lunchroom areas, showers, laundries, live meeting rooms and offices with access control systems, IT, CCTV, fiber optic and CAT 6 communication throughout.
