Specifications include, but are not limited to: site investigation and analysis of existing buildings and exhibits determiningwhich can be renovated and which must be replaced, exhibit and visitor services/support facilitiesplanning, cost estimation and prioritization and phasing of Master Plan Projects.The Master Plan including a Strategic Plan should be comprehensive addressing all of 6 acres of the zoowith the possibility of expanding into some of the adjacent park land and guide the zoo development forthe next 10 to 15 years. It should consider but not be limited to the following criteria.EXHIBITS/ANIMAL CARE•Where practical and financially feasible renovation and refurbishment of existing exhibits andsupport buildings•New animal exhibits and associated support buildings.•Renovated or new veterinary clinic.•Quarantine Facility•Winter housing Facility•Commissary•Phasing/timing of exhibitsGROUNDS•Continue use of native plants•Rain gardens for runoff water•Pond improvements to reduce algae blooms operations.
