The Town of Abington is seeking to purchase four (4) 8 feet wide and 15 feet deep, all of which will be placed adjacent to each other on an existing 34 foot by 18-foot concrete pad. As an add alternate the Town may also elect to purchase up to three (3) additional units. The base bid shall be for four (4) 8 feet wide by 15 feet deep units. The Town also requests additional pricing as follows. Add alternate 1. One 10 foot wide by 15 feet deep unit. Add alternate 2. One 10 foot wide by 15 feet deep unit. Add alternate 3. One 10 foot wide by 15 feet deep unit. The prefabricated storage units will be utilized at Memorial Field in Abington, Massachusetts, located off of Ralph Hamlin Jr. Lane. The general specifications are as follows: 1. DESIGN LOAD: IBC Code 2021, with minimum Ground Snow Load 35 PSF; Snow Load Factor of .7; Wind Load 122 MPH. 2. 24-gauge galvalume plus standing seam roof with 20-year manufacturer's warranty (galvalume color). 26-gauge rake and eave trim, with 40-year manufacturer's warranty. 3. Units to have a shed roof 1/2" x 12" slope. Roof slopes away from the doors. 4. 26 gauge "R" panel siding with siliconized polyester finish for walls and blank wall areas. Exterior color of walls and overhead doors to be Owner’s selection from available colors, with a 40-year manufacturer's paint warranty. 5. Columns are to be 16” wide, 16 gauge “C” channel covered with a 26-gauge galvanized panel. 6. Headers are to be 26-gauge factory painted corrugated panels matching the color and profile of the roll-up doors; posts and purlins are 16 gauge.
