The Portable Doppler Radar (PDR) program is currently in sustainment under CLS 2 necessary to maintain the 48 PDRs in their current configuration and IAW the requirements as stated in the PDR Technical Requirements Document (TRD). EWR-700XD PDR systems is a Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) radar system that detects precipitation and collects and delivers weather data information to assist in production of weather warnings, watches, advisories, and other mission-essential weather products to support air and ground operations. It is capable of operating as a stand-alone system or by delivering weather data in NEXRAD Level II or NEXRAD Level III format to the Air Force network. They are deployed to Air Force and Army locations in both Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) and integrates into the larger Air Force Weather Weapons System Enterprise.
The purpose of this effort is to provide the logistics, engineering, software development, and cybersecurity support and services necessary to sustain the systems within the PDR program in their baseline configurations worldwide in accordance with the requirements. The contractor will accomplish the following:
a. Provide program management, helpdesk support, problem ticket tracking and resolution, maintenance, Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), spares and repair management to include Government Furnished Property (GFP), equipment accountability, obsolescence management and disposition in support of Defense Parts Accountability System (DPAS), Configuration Control Board (CCB) support, systems engineering, Packing, Handling, Shipping and Transportation (PHS&T) of government property through commercial means, as well as through the Defense Transportation Network (DTN), software development, software management, Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), cyber security, and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables, creating/updating/managing technical documents, deficiency resolution, and other actions as appropriate.
b. Support and/or perform system design changes, upgrades, and enhancements due to technical refresh of component capability, obsolescence, and diminishing sources.
c. Establish and maintain Contractor-Inventory Control Point (C-ICP), manage GFP, as well as manage and update the Computer Resources Support Management Plan (CRSMP) when any major system changes occur.
