General: The work and lump sum bid price shall include all labor, equipment, tools, new materials, and incidentals required to provide a complete, structurally sound project; and, will include, but not necessarily be limited to 14 total units with specifications listed below: There are Fourteen (14) rusted toilet and/or sink combination wall and floor mounted units to be removed and replaced with units that are as equal to Acorn rear mount and floor mount comby with oval lavatory bowl and 18 inch lav cabinet. Toilets must be stainless steel to be corrosion-resisent and damange-resistent and offer a smooth surface that is easy to clean and disinfect. Each unit is located in individual cement walled prison cells. Due to the sensitivity of the proximity of these units, it is imperative that they are replaced with speed and accuracy, in addition to the need for safety for those who will eventually use these units. FOURTEEN (14) Standard Units (SOME LEFT ANGLE, SOME STRAIGHT WITH NO ANGLE, SOME RIGHT ANGLE). • Fixtures shall be fabricated from 14 gauge, type 304 stainless steel or better. The construction shall be all welded, with exposed stainless surfaces polished to a #4 satin finish or better. • Standard toilet shall include: elongated toilet bowl with contoured seat, integral crevice-free selfdraining flushing rim with positive after fill and fully enclosed 2 ½” O. D. trap which shall maintain a minimum 2” seal and pass a 2 1/8” ball. Toilet shall be blowout type which requires 35 psi minimum flushing pressure. • Standard lavatory shall include: multi sided bowl, 12 ¾” x 8 ¼” x 5” deep, stainless steel penal filler/bubbler fast drain with air vent, elbow waste (1 ½” F.I.P.) and self-draining soap dish. • Fixture shall withstand loadings up to 2,000 lbs. with no measurable defection and loadings up to 5,000 lbs. with no permanent damage. • Cabinet interior shall be sound deadened with fire-resistant material. • Anchoring shall be by standard 4-point system. ½” threaded rods, nuts and washers shall be used to install on cement walls and ease of maintenance. • Each unit must be affixed to the cell walls and floors with a caulking that adhears like cement and it waterproof. There must be no space between the units and walls or floors. • Test must be completed to determine if with the 3 ½ gallon flush, unit will pass a 2 5/8” ball. • 15” Wide, wall units. • Fixture mounting must be on the floor. • All units must be Anti-Suicide Push Button, Anti-Suicide Skirt • Each unit will be installed with recessed tissue holder. • Made in U. S. A. • The contractor Must be able to hook up to existing plumbing. Existing units are only flushable from outside the cell. Any additional plumbing required to make the new toilets operational must be included in the bid price. • All units Must come with cleaning instructions to keep the units rust free. • The awarded contractors staff that is working on this project must all fill and pass a CORI check with the Yarmouth Police Department.
